Marisol Escobar

Escobar was a Venezuelan artist born in France.  She was lumped in with artists identified as members of the pop art movement artists but she outlasted almost all of them, she passed away in 2016.  She created colorful wooden sculptures that played with and riffed off the human form.  Her art is extremely accessible and very striking.  To me some of her figures recall the moai on Easter Island.
